VOLLEYBALL:
COMMERCE - East Texas A&M University volleyball coach Joe Morales added Emily Witt as the program’s assistant coach going into the 2025 season.
Witt joins the Lion volleyball program after serving as the volleyball coach for Northwest High School in Wichita, Kansas, and the head coach for the KNVBC Showtime Volleyball club in Wichita. She has also worked with the Shockwave Volleyball Academy in Wichita as a head coach.
Despite spending the last two years in Kansas, Witt is no stranger to the Lone Star State as she began her collegiate volleyball career at Navarro College and finished her playing career at Texas A&M-Kingsville, where Morales was an assistant coach at the time. She also played at Arkansas-Fort Smith and was the team captain for all three programs.
At Navarro College, she won the 2019 NJCAA Division I National Championship with the unbeaten Bulldogs (31-0), after finishing seventh in 2018. She was the NJCAA assists leader in 2018 and was named to the all-National Tournament team in 2019.
For the Javelinas, Witt was twice named the Lone Star Conference Setter of the Week in 2020 as well as being the LSC Setter of the Year in 2020 as A&M-Kingsville went undefeated in the regular season and won the LSC South division championship. She was the
